We all know Glee murdered Dont Stop Believing, and Rolf (*) did something despicable to Stairway to Heaven, but Ive run across a couple of lesser known covers of mega hits in the last few nights.

So first up is Robey with a sort of dance version of One Night In Bangkok!

After a couple of playthroughs its not bad, but shame the audio synch is miles out......

(*) Harris not our Rolf! :D

And how about Ukrainian act Ruslana doing Moonlight Shadow?

(Ruslana are best known in the UK for winning the Eurovision Song Contest in 2005)

And heres a heavy rock version of Abba's Summer Night City!

And another Abba track - Metalium with a rock version of Thank You For The Music...!!!!

:-Nooo

Avantasia with a really quite decent cover of Dancing With Tears In My Eyes

The Alice Band with Dont Fear The Reaper.

Well they look better than the lads from BOC!

Oh dear oh dear what the hell have Seether done to the 80's pop classic Careless Whisper??

Nickleback doing Sharp Dressed Man live. Just wrong in so many ways!

Having heard what DJ Manian has done to Asias smash hit Heat of the Moment I think I want to cry! This is just about my all time favourite song... A techno dance version should not be allowed in any civilised society!

This one - Im speechless. Its a humppa (a Finnish dance) version of Whiskey in the Jar by Eläkeläiset

OMG its TERRIBLE!!!!!!

If you thought the Glee version of Dont Stop Believing was the worst indignity they could inflict on a good song have you heard this hideous mix up??

Whoever though mixing up Young Girl & Dont Stand So Close To Me would make a good song should be taken outside and have their testicles nailed to a board with a blunt nail and a 25lb sledgehammer.

Oh good grief. i prefer the Don Henly version! DJ Sammy - Boys of Summer

edit - link replaced A/S
