Weird cover versions of well known songs.

Stardate 1978. Sweet are in the charts with Love Is Like Oxygen. And now Ive found a cover by Audiovision. Not bad, not bad at all :

This is a first even by the low standards of this thread :D

The Ljubljana Mandolin Orchestra playing Big In Japan

A bit plinky plonky but actually not bad. There are quite a few other covers of well known songs linked off this YT page played on their mandolins....

Dusty Springfield's I only want to be with you again - this time its by Samantha Fox!

There should be a thread with artists that have absolutley no idea of the original lyrics , nor the meaning behind them, but put their own musical casserole of nonsense slant for financial gain.

In the mid-90's a band called The Bates covered Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean". I have the CD single and it's really very good!

Six years in and I think this is the first cover of The Smiths - How soon is now - done by taTu!

I like it - better than the original anyway :D

Air Supply & The Power Of Love - just found this one on an ahem recently acquired Air Supply album

John Denvers Annies Song is a perennial favourite for covers - we had Weezer doing it a few years back - heres a Finnish language version!!
