Weird issue with 36v jaeger motor and vbox

My Satellite Setup
Channel Master 1.8M on Edision MIO 4K & GTMEDIA Combo, and CM1.2M on Octagon SF8008

My dish has stopped moving to 42e when picking a channel from the list - not that i go there often, in fact, ive only just noticed.

This is setup using the positioner "pass through" from vbox to STB - and using advanced positioning in E2 for DISECQ 1.2

When selecting a channel from 42e list, the vbox just goes to standby.

It goes to 39e ok.

In fact, from 39e, i can choose a channel from the 42e channel list, the vbox then goes to standby, if i take it out of standby (i.e powered on) then move to 42e manually using the direction buttons on the vbox, it moves fine, no problem.

vbox or motor on way out???

What number have you got 42E stored on?
Have you double checked, in your tuner menu, that it's still listed?
Have you tried deleting 42E, from your Tuner menu, then adding it again>
You stated that you used the buttons, on the V-Box II, to move to 42E, have you tried with your receiver, using the motor options, in the menu?

If the limits were set, on your receiver, then I'm not sure it would go into sleep mode, rather just throw up an error code, on the V-Box II.
What channels, have you tried, on 42E, and have you tried different transponders?
Are all other satellites working, as normal?
Is 42E your furthest East satellite, or do you have any others, further East?

What make of V box is it?

42 is stored as 42. when i manually moved to lock 42, i manually RE- STORED to 42 to no avail. it just wont move there, goes to standby -i have a feeling its the vbox or the motor....but i have a hunch it aint the motor as it does move there manually

its not a limit issue

it wont go to 45e either...

its like i'll try - nah, ef that. i'll goto sleep

If the motor can be manually driven to 42E and beyond but not by selecting a 42E channel from the list in a receiver it suggests the receiver configuration or channel list could be the issue?
That is only a guess however, as I always manually select a satellite using the pre-stored position in the controller.

Try resetting the V box first. I did have a different issue a few years back where the V box after, selecting a stored sat it decided to go to the software limit to the W instead, not all the time, but intermittently. Tried a different V box and all was good, so it could be a faulty V box issue.
 
As above, a factory reset should sort out the issue, but I have seen corupted memory after repeated power failure on some early V-Boxes.
 
i tried a replacement vbox today - cleared all memory - same issue - so not the vbox.

so, i decided to re-flash recevier with a new VIX image, and stored a few positions again, 53e, 45e, 42e, 19e, 13e, 4.8e, 1w, and all working fine again now.

happy daze - was about time i updated the image anyway, so did me a favour.
