Hallo, what motor is ok for Channel Master 180 cm offset dish? 3624 or 3624. What are practical differences? Thank you.

They both will work exactly the same. But, if you meant one is heavy duty and another one not, then, as well, you can use any of them.

Thank you Rima, I know that it depends on polarmount construction, I want rotate ca 30W - 78,5E, so both would be ok? Polarmount I don´t have yet, but want to make one, construct by myself and I have found bulgarian actuators Sky Sat QARL 3624 and 3636 for acceptable price.

maybe you havent yet realised you put the same model in your OP

anyway - i went through this - the answer is, get a 36inch - but you need a way to offset the angle, or it fouls against the structure

see my thread here:

pic:

when i had the 24" i wanted to go from 54e to 58w - it couldnt

36" does the job, as long as u have an angled triangular plate as per my pic

so both would be ok? Polarmount
For such a small arc any actuator will be OK. I had 1.8m dish on polar-mount with 24" actuator and it was easily turned 93*E-30*W. As it is said by @Manikm909 it is important to find the proper actuator connection points to prevent dish-flop or other damage.

Without knowing the o/p dish location in respect to high winds, it would always be worth adding bracketry to the existing polarmount for the longer actuator, to remove the chance of losing the lot in a bad storm.

But the original question was over which 24" actuator....

it wasnt he put the same model in twice....3624 or 3624

let me think, the 3624 ....? hmmmm

Sorry, of course I meant 3624 or 3636 :-) Sorry, for that!
