What is the best make of AA battery for my mp3 cd player. The specification for my player says it has 10 hours playback. Which AA battery will do this for me?

Any long last battery is expensive, and very unfriendly withthe environment when it comes to disposing/recycling, but at the moment I find the Energiser batteries seem to give the best value for money (they are on special offer at Safeways this week - £1.99 for eight)

Have you considered recharegeables. They may not last ten hours, but you could always carry a spare set, and have three or four pairs in rotation. At ten hours a day or so, you will see the money saved within a month.
