As far as I can see there's a choice of two, the TBS6925 and the Omicom S2-PCI, this one appears to decode it, I say appears because it's not mentioned in the spec I found but I can see from some of QWERs posts that his does. There's plenty of info on this forum on the 6925 but anyone used the Omicom or even better compared them?

I found one video doing that but it's in Russian, from what I could tell sensitivity is very similar.

There are two versions of Omicom S2, the regular (and cheap, less than 50€) with the STV0903BAC decoder that supports 8PSK and blindscan, a nice card as far as I know, and there is a second "pro" version of Omicom S2, quite expensive (more expensive than TBS6925) with the STV0900AAC decoder (the same decoder as TBS6925/TBS5925) that supports 16APSK and 32APSK, which is not immediately available. The Omicom S2 in the video is the first one. There are no many users with the "pro" version, afaik...

The main difference between cards is tuner, STB6100 on TBS and STV6110A on OMICOM, both use same demodulator STV0900AAC. Another difference is interface to mb, OMICOM have SAA7146AH, TBS have SAA7160ET.

Note: From the end of 2011, manny Omicom cards are defective, i have OMICOM DVB-S2 Advanced and is broken.

You have your location as Germany but your IP resolves to Romania.

We ask that all members have an accurate location in their profile as we are a technical forum and the location can be very important.

Have two locations and actual location is in Romania. I will correct this.

Thank you :)

If you travel regularly between the two then put something along the lines of Germany/Romania.

If you ever ask a technical question about fringe reception just make sure you identify which one you are in - it can make all the difference!

By the way - please dont be offended - we check all new members as a common spammer tactic is to wrongly state the location, although we can normally tell genuine new members. :)
