Hi guys, well i have in 2 short months gone from a tm5400 on a triax110 with 3 lnbs, to now a motorised tm5402 , as i made a mistake and got the 5400 instead of the 5402..
Used the Triax 110 with a tm 2600 motor..
Would there but be much increase in signal quality if i went for a Faval 120 alloy dish ,, or even a Gilbertii 125 alloy???
In the new yr i am thinking of geting aVUO-DUO ,or a CLARKE TECH ,,, any advice would be appreciated ..
 
What are you interested in?

The Vu+ Duo is great for watching tv, ok for finding new channels on known frequencies and bloody useless for feed hunting thanks to the way the Enigma 2 software is set up..

A well set up Gibby will knock spots off most other dishes.
 
No doubt that the gibertini is a cracking dish, but way too heavy for a DiSEqC motor.
 
the Faval dishes are very good i had 1meter one
 
I've fitted a few 1m Flavel dish, can't say i rate them in all honesty.

I found them very flimsey, although the signal weren't too bad from the ones i fitted..
 
What lnb are you using as changing this will show some improvement.

Myself and many others on here are using inverto black ultra on our dishes.
 
Gibby 1.25m will work on a DiSEqC motor but it would be on the absolute limit. I had it working for years with no trouble.

Vu+ Uno has blind scan but only 1 tuner. Not sure if the upcoming multi-tuner Ultimo has blind scan.

I Dont think i want to go down the cs route, am more of a tinkerer [lets see wots up there] type....
Am ok with what extras soft cam provides tho. Didnt realise a gibby 125 being alloy would be so much heavier than trix110 being steel..
Already have a black ultra lnb , as i read it was the best on this forum.
 
The gibertini 1.2m is only heavy due to the steel mounting bracket on the back of the dish.
