What do people remember from the good ol` analogue days?

I remember getting my first pirat* card. Thought it was fantastic how it worked. Actually still have it. When i put into the cas2 it recognises it as a gold card.

Look at the PC Card section of this Forum - plenty of advice on setting up the card. You won't need cams or smartcards if you install a program like ProgDVB and a plugin such as S2emu.

My first foray into satellite was with a BSB Ferguson D-MAC receiver that had been converted to D2-MAC. The complete system including mini-dish cost a bargain £15 from a shop in Southend.

After getting it home and pointing the dish in the right direction (using a school protractor and boy scout compass), the picture suddenly cleared to reveal Vanessa Paradis singing "Joe Le Taxi" on the French music channel MCM. I don't know if I was more surprised by the system actually working or the sight of the French teenager's gyrating.

The other thing that sticks in my mind was that satellite TV did actually have stripping housewives (on the RTL gameshow Tutti-Frutti). The long-gone Southern TV once ran an ad campaign denouncing the evils of satellite TV saying it would be used to beam stripping housewives into our living rooms and boy were they right!

this works for Yankse as its just a .dll, but not for S2emu v1.091 as that seems to be 8 different files, i thought they where similar plugin files, i guess not ?

They are virtually identical in function. Many of the extra .bin files are to do with S2, and are required for both, not that either of the existing versions can do S2 ATM.

S2emu has better support (and has input from the Y* author!)
We eagerly await new versions though...
