What does PIN: /dev/sci0 do in CCCam?

What does PIN: /dev/sci0 do in CCCam?

I am asking because I am having trouble viewing some channels on my Dreambox DM500 during the day. These channels are "R18 Rated Channels" After 8:30pm they are fine.

In the original receiver there is a Parental control which I have set to not restrict channels, there is also a pin code.

Can I put the PIN code in the CCCam file to over come this issue? The pin code and parental ratings are stored on the card, as when the card is removed from the receiver it asks for the card when trying to change anything.

The /dev/sci0 in CCcam is just the name of the internal card reader in the dreambox
 
Yes, thats correct, what I want to know is what the PIN is actually used for before I put my Parental Lock PIN code in it, as there is a warning stating that it could lock the card.
