i have now got my system (technomate 1500CI) still have to fix it but nearly there just missing an extension pole & clamp.

so what else do i need to watch movies, football etc.. in english language.

cams &/or cards?

there so many differents ones & i don't really what they do so can someone help please?!
 
You don't need any cards or cams to watch the things you listed with the setup you have.
You can buy cards to watch the Art sport channels,think they have english commentry etc but if your not bothered about listening to them in a another language i wouldn't bother.You just need to update the reciever
 
art sports card for football as they have english commentry. or there is digitalb that show movies in english with subtitles for the foreign language and show a few games games every week uk footie, italian and german
 
I would like to watch the premiership in English, so what would i need to do.

well buying an art sports card would be a good option as the card will work in your receiver, as the technomate 1500ci has a multicrypt card reader so will read any card except from nds videoguard cards such as sky uk sub cards

cams allow you to view encrypted channels with the relevant subscription card on any receiver with ci slots

there is many types of encryption seca, nagravision, viaccess etc and you will see many cams that can be bought all they do is decode the subscription card for that particular encryption

when you go to buy cards for art or whoever there will be details of what cam is needed

so for example

art sports card would need a viaccess cam or embedded reciever

digitalb would need a conax cam or embedded reciever
