Hi
I live in the Uk and recently I have developed a desire to watch Italian TV.
Can someone please tell me what equipment do I need and where can i find it?(set up package)
Do I need a dish outside the house (would like to avoid this to avoid problems with neighbours).

Thank you everyone in advance for your advice.

You need a Dish of around 60cm, aligned to Hotbird at 13E, plus a Digital Satellite Receiver.

What Receiver you get depends upon what Channels you want .................

There are some Free To Air Channels, at the moment including Rai (apart from when they are showing Rights Restricted Premium Content).

For a better range, you'll need to consider either getting a Sky Italia box and Subscription, or a TivùSat box and Card (One off payment). Soon, you should be able to use a generic Receiver with a suitable CAM (Conditional Access Module) to read a TivùSat Card, but not sure exactly when this will happen.

Thank you Tivu' for your advice.
My mate told me that it was not necessary to have a dish anymore...probably I misunderstood.

Cheers

The only way to get Satellite TV is through a Dish ............... by definition.

I imagine that, like UK TV, it is possible to get it through Interweb Streaming somehow or another, but that's not something I either know about or get involved with.

Seems like your Mate would be a good starting point for getting more information!
