Hi Guys

Hopefully someone can give me some advice. I have around 40 or so f plugs to fit in my house and would like to use compression fittings. The reason for compression is that I cannot get any screw type F fittings to fit my cable. The cable is RG6 but it has an outer diameter of 7.6mm but most plugs only go to 7mm I think. It is part of this bundled cabling.

Code:

So the question I have and I have got myself a bit lost is what compression fitting would fit this cable and also could anyone recommend a good compression tool.

Cheers

Brett

It could be what is called "RG-6 Quad" this coax has a slightly bigger diameter then normal RG-6, this due to extra shielding, you can order or find compression fittings for it most everywhere, I find them at Home Depot, or Lowes.

But I don't know what's around your area for that type of stuff.

As to the compression tool I would look into the "Ideal tools" line they have an inexpensive line of coax tools.

Cabelcon compression connectors should fit most RG6. They do self install F's which doesn't require a tool.

The dimensions of that cable are more akin to RG11, so the connectors are a little more beefy and expensive, unless you go the crimp connector route. Why not contact SAC and ask them for recommendations?

I would use Cablecom crimp on connectors if its internal, if external Cablecom waterproof compression fittings.

Mostly because i have literally thousands of them :D
