I fail to see what all the fuss is about with Katy Perry's (now pulled) appearance on Sesame street. Perhaps my sense of decency has become muddled in old age but I fail to see anything wrong with this apart from her showing a bit of cleavage that a child would not even notice.

Good way of hyping up a single/video though

She is however in my opinion a well formed and attractive young lady who knows how to sing a song and perhaps jealousy is what has sparked this action
 
The problem is, it's the bashful americans, a bit of boob, even if decently covered up, doesn't go down too well with some people thinking it might corrupt their kids somehow, and they complain about it, and complaints mean things get pulled... :confused:

Just look at what happened to the woman lacking a forearm on CBeebies, a few people complained that she was scaring their kids, and she got pulled off TV briefly, but it's perfectly normal for children to learn that there are things about people that may seem weird and scary, so why not use TV to do that!! :confused:

It's just people being too sensitive about the real world, "Mary Whitehouse" syndrome if you will, shielding their kids from something they're going to know about anyway, it's just silly if you ask me... :-rofl2
 
Probably more to do with who she is associated with.
 
It's at times like this I (almost) wish I kept up with "celebrity" news. I have no idea who Katy Perry is or who her associates are.
 
Perhaps it was because of her terrible miming to the song:-rofl2, or was that just poor synchronisation?

Anyone who complains about that video has some serious screwup issues to deal with. Cant see anything wrong with it at all, but thats the Yanks for you - look at the furore after the "wardrobe malfunction" at the superbowl a few years ago. You couldnt actually see anything but if believed the hype it was the end of the world as the yanks knew it.....

Maybe the actual story is Katy got the video pulled as she was out acted by a woolly puppet!

Just ran the first 30s of the video. She's had her singing computer enhanced so that's debatable.

I think it’s all a bit silly. I would not say she was inappropriately dressed. Sad as she went to the time and trouble of re - writing the song for the show.

Think it has more to do with her silly boyfriends incident at the airport - what does she see in him?
 
I would be more worried about corrupting kids minds with talking puppets that live in bins, are not real, who share beds (bert n ernie) and who's best friend is a 8ft yellow bird!!
