If you want a Non E2 Receiver a lot of us on here can recommend the Edision Primo IP S2 or Octagon SX88+
I will check this Sat/Transponder on mine shortly to check it all works :)

*EDIT*
Getting this transponder full scale signal on the Edision Primo IP S2 but not seeing any channels on the transponder, if anyone has a SX88+ can they check this one?

They are the BBC, and other English channels. RustySpoons, to open them you need the latest BISS keys, also you might need to edit the PIDS, to get the Audio working.
I have read of them opening using an Oscam-Emu cam, on E2 receivers, like the VU+, but there are other receivers, that seem to be easier.

I know whats needed to open them but wasn't sure about mentioning it on here, thats why I suggested those 2 boxes as they can do things from the remote.
I'm currently editing the satellites.xml file on the Edision by hand to see if I can manually set the FEC etc as it does not auto detect it.

The modified Primo Firmware includes Oscam ..... will try this tomorrow.

Also has THCAM, but that won't help you at the moment as the box won't tune that transponder, I will suss this out this evening :)

Some Oscam configurations don't work, I know of a couple of modified Oscam files, that do work, but the main viewers, people abroad, who can no longer pick up UK channels, on Astra 2, due to the change over to the UK Spot beam, seem to prefer the Technomate receivers, or other simple receivers, that require little work.

Equally there is no guarantee as to how long they will last, although they don't seem to bother updating their encryption methods, to stop viewing, but that could change.

Thanks all that has jogged my memory from a few years ago if I remember correctl
The technomate lists the channel line up and the keys are straightforward to install.
Any one on the continent using this box feed back would be appreciated

The freely available modifed Firmware for the Edision Primo claims success with 27.5W.

Neither Rusty nor I have yet succeeded in proving the case, but are working on it.

I've tried this too and it doesn't work on the Edision that I can tell.

The problem isn't that it can't lock the transponder, but that no services scan in because of the scrambled PMT.

The solution would be to find a way to add channels manually, but I can't find a compatible channel editor. The box will save its channel list to USB in Enigma 2 format as well as its own format database, but will only read the channel list from its own format file that I can tell. So dreamboxEdit etc don't work.

^^^^^^ Presactamento

Although I can scan the channels just fine on the F15, I would still have to edit the PIDs on my PC in order to view the channels (as well as add keys). I remember this package liked changing PID "encryption" (i.e. not including them in PMT table) in the past...

Yes I've been playing around with this, if you edit the satellites.xml and other things the box just default them back to what they were.
I think what they are doing is emulating the E2 satellite config settings by using a cut down version of these files which are only for use with a compatible programme for cross compatibility, the box seems to copy these settings to another location. It doesn't actually use them directly.
Editing transponders does not work using FTP or E2 editing softwares, however E-Channelizer will connect to the box and upload/download, I recon that might stand a good chance of importing channels. I have a E2 box here and will quickly try and dump 27.5W from the Mutant and load it on to the Edision... Will report back shortly.
