Sounds like you might be in with a chance there then! Hopefully it works!Yes I've been playing around with this, if you edit the satellites.xml and other things the box just default them back to what they were.
I think what they are doing is emulating the E2 satellite config settings by using a cut down version of these files which are only for use with a compatible programme for cross compatibility, the box seems to copy these settings to another location. It doesn't actually use them directly.
Editing transponders does not work using FTP or E2 editing softwares, however E-Channelizer will connect to the box and upload/download, I recon that might stand a good chance of importing channels. I have a E2 box here and will quickly try and dump 27.5W from the Mutant and load it on to the Edision... Will report back shortly.
