What is Crossepg ?

My Satellite Setup
Hotbird 13 east
My Location
Iceland
I am wondering about EPG. My satellite is Hotbird. Free stations do not often have EPG. Rai storia has EPG and DW English has it and Arte shows only existing program and next.
On my receiver which is now Amiko Alien 2 there are some EPG options to download. Do not understand that. There is something called crossepg ready on my external drive. Is it possible to download EPG for stations from a third party or how is it ?
 
Loads of info on Google, easier than me trying to explain it all after feeling lethargic from a big Sunday roast and lack of exercise due to covid....

Info about databose
Google does not tell me what to do about these providers. But I think Google is saying Crossepg-0.6.2 is from year 2011. Should I get somehow newer ? Google Code Archive - Long-term storage for Google Code Project Hosting.
 
For download of epg over internet. I've never used it nor needed it, but here's how it's done (enigma box)
