Hi,

I've just found a box labeled BT Vs220 an dit also has Videocrypt.

Can I use this box?

Is it Digital?

Never heard of it, but if it's videocrypt then it's an analogue box.

Videocrypt was used previously by Sky and still is used by Channel-5 on Astra1 (19.2east) - the latter requiring no card since it is "soft-encrypted". Presumably it can also receive unencryted (FTA) signals too and there are plenty of those up there.

The BT receiver was a badged unit manufactured by Cambridge. its over 8 years old and suffered from a poor remote, worse on screen graphics and a reputation for catching fire.

You will see a picture of one on the satcure website as an advert for their repair journal

A ropey box sold in the UK through a ropey company called SDC in Kent

Bury it now, do not plug it in
