140cm antenna from previous post is gone . Next in line is 120cm polar-mounted Prodelin. Nice dish, but I have no installation space for it :(

I'm back with more throw aways.

Today's pair of throw outs is a Triax 90cm satellite dish (96cm x 86cm) and box of telephony and PC connectivity items including an 8 port VGA KVM and a 4 port HDMI KVM.

It is just about a "two out, one in" transaction as the KVM's were used to control a batch of PC's all with connectivity to satellite dishes.
As the next throw out will consist of an item that is probably worth more than half a unit of credit I feel that I can reasonably claim todays transaction is worth a full point giving me a credit balance of 5 for new arrivals.

Pics of todays junk are attached below.

You are not missing much, it is bitched.
It loses the keyboard now and again when switching between PC's and needs to be turned off/on to get the keyboard back.

I have moved over to DisplayPort KVM switches, up to now they seem to be more reliable than HDMI.

Hmm maybe there is a bug in their software inside then with all of their devices, as I have the 4K hdmi switch from them.

It works 100% with my old Samsung LED tv, but my new LG does not like it at all, as soon as I switch to any device with it, the screen goes pink and the only way to fix it is to factory reset the tv.

A little annoying as it wasn't a cheap HDMI switch, but I ended up buying a new cheap one to try with the LG and that works spot on with it.

I'm back with more throw aways.

The first pair of today's throw outs is a TM-5502 receiver and a TM-6902 receiver, definitely worth a full credit point on the "Two Out - One In" principle.

The second lot is a mixed box of trash consisiting of:

NewDVB 500 receiver (clone of Dreambox DM500)
Blackmagic Decklink HDMI capture card (captures pics from satellite receiver)
Skystar HD2 DVB Card for PC
DirecTV Ka-Band LNB (needs some sort of mod to get it working I think?)
Bandpass unit or some gubbins to go with the DirecTV Ka-Band LNB
Inogeni HDMI to USB3 capture device (captures pics from satelite receiver and sends via USB3 to PC)
Three steel shaft collars with internal diameter suitable for C-Band feeds
Four pieces of complete trash from the Elite Antennas auction lot of floor sweepings.

I am claiming another "Two Out - One In" for the second lot, it is good value for at least one credit point.

My credit balance for new arrivals after todays throw outs now stands at 7.

I'm back with more throw aways.

There is now access to the outer edges of the "motorised junk" pile in the loft so included in today's throw outs are three LINAK 36V actuators with optical switches and 8" stroke length.
Also thrown out today is a Sky box left over from the "receivers junk" pile.

I think todays four items are definitely worth two credit points on the "Two Out - One In" principle, this now gives me a credit balance of 9 points for new arrivals.

Pics of todays junk are attached below.

I would just about class that as a "Two Out - One In" transaction worth 1 credit point for a new arrival :)

LINAK are/were a manufacturer of good quality actuators.
These were brand new old stock when I acquired them years ago, manufactured in West Germany.

However, I done my bollox with this adventure and am looking at a red wad outcome.
I think there might be another 8 or 9 in the loft still in the original boxes, more throw aways once I get down to them in the pile of "motorised junk".

@william-1

Well done, you are flying along nicely with those receiver and LNB throw outs

Those were good receivers in their day with possibly the exception of the AZ Box.
The performance of the AZ Box when working was good but the menus were a right bitch to get to grips with on the one I had.

One of today's items is another relic from the "motorised junk" pile in the loft, it is an Echsotar LT8700 receiver/positioner.

In it's day it was one of the top end models, probably only surpassed by the Chaparral Monteray
I seem to remember it cost me above a bag of sand to buy it including a dish and the cost of a motorised install.

The other of today's throw aways is a right useless bit of kit, I got caught when I bought this junk, it is a satellite finder, bit like a sextant

Another "Two Out - One In " transaction bringing my credit balance up to 10 points for new arrivals

Pics of todays junk are attached below.

Surely the 6900 Combo is a useful receiver to have, the 6800 on which it was based still receives DVB-S2 broadcasts

It has developed problems with unstable signals.
