What set up do i need to recieve two satellites on one dish

Hi everybody i have searched through other threads but am struggling to find exactly what i am after so sorry if i am repeating any questions.

I am living in france hoping to setup my satellite dish to receive a signal from two different sats but am unsure what the best way to do this would be. i want to recieve sky/astra 28.3 and for the second i want to recieve french tv, which from what i have read is hotbird (please correct me if i am wrong).

I have different recievers one sky and one orange tv france, and at the moment i have a 80cm dish with one quad lnb. i currently am recieving sky and was wondering if i was to put a extra lnb on whether it would work using a multi lnb holder.

also would i have to move my dish to center or facing the other sat.

does the lnb need to be anything special or will a cheap one be ok

would greatly appreciate any help and comments

You might want 19east as canal+ and tntsat are on there.

You can add a multi lnb bracket and run a cable from the offset hotbird lnb to your orange tv receiver.
 
Are you aware that you can only use the Orange receiver if it is connected to your broadband, even if it's receiving programs via satellite. Other than that Wod's advice is good, you can add a bracket, set another LNB (doesn't have to anything special) at 19.2°E and run a cable to your other receiver. I have an Orange set top box which I've had working but prefer my multisat setup for French tv on my VU+.

i have the broadband in ready just need to set it up like you guys have said and hopefully it will be good to go.

sorry if i'm being abit slow here but when i fix the second lnb on, does the dish need to be moved or can it stay pointing towards sky satellite?

also i am going to install sky at my friends house in the brittany region of france would a sky mini dish be big enough or do i need to buy bigger?

You can leave it set on 28.2° but the second LNB (on the extension bar holder) will need setting to 19.2°. Don't forget it's a mirror image of the sat position so facing the dish, your second LNB will need to be to the right and slightly up from your Sky LNB. The skew will need adjusting as well.

You may get away with a mini dish in Brittany (I'm in Manche and close to the Dept.35 border) but I'd recommend a Zone 2 dish or if you're sourcing one locally a 60cm would be fine, just to allow for a rain fade margin. I run Astra off an 88cm dish but that carries seven other LNB's.
 
I've used a 60cm at my sister's place near Chartres, Eure et Loir, with offset arm for 19.2 and 13 east, all working fine.
