Hi All

I'm near Belfast, Northern Ireland which is roughly on the same latitude as Middlesborough and Newcastle, but much further West. Can I use a 60cm dish for Hotbird or do I need an 80cm?

Has anyone near me got a 60cm operating at the moment, how's the quality?

Also is there any big difference between solid and mesh dishes receptionwise?

Thanks

I would use an 80cm, as a 60cm may experience a tad of dropout in bad weather, but if you already have the 60cm, why not give it a try.:) A good solid dish will normally be slightly better than a mesh dish, but there are many cheap solids which perform no better whatsoever.

As Rolf says stick with the 80cm if you havn't bought yet click here to see the footprint for Hispasat European beam

Thanks for the prompt replies. I'll go for an 80cm:-)
