hi guys, am new here - so apologies for asking questions that have probably been asked a thousand times before, but your advice and wisdom would be much appreciated.
we recently cancelled Sky (p*ss poor customer service/crap broadband/cost etc) and planned on buying a motorised system.
we have considered either the Spiderbox 9000hd & the TM 5402hd, my concern is what happens when the 'free gift' expires on the spiderbox ? my understanding is the 'gift' & to some extent, the 9000 is monopolised by one person in the industry. also we have read about patchy (no pun intended) updates/patches with most TM's - is this correct?. are there better receivers to consider, sub £200?
we would probably only be interested in FTA, (in English, the wife is fluent in Spanish/Italian but i only speak Yorkshire) hopefully recieve programms like Discovery, Nat Geo etc but the important one is Eurosport (WSBK, BSB, MotoGP) currently available in german on analogue, would Eurosport still be available after the Switch off in 2012?
or would we be better off just buying a Freesat HD box & subscribing to Eurosport player online, (£35 per year)??
thanks in advance, Dave.
