Hi all,
Just put up a penta 85, inverto black ultra lmb will post pictures later when I’ve tidied all the cables up etc and was wondering what satellites would it be possible to RX. My longitude is 1.404 located in Sheffield and the dish faces almost directly south down the back garden in the clear when on thor so can swing according to dish pointer about 75 west and about the same east. I’ve been using a dish on the patio and changed to the penta mounted on the wall can rx 28 east and 30 west no problem on the penta and is better than the patio dish after a quick check. I’m using 12” standoff brackets homemade Technomate 2600 positioner and the dish looks like it can come a lot closer to the house .So if I can rx nothing worth looking at say from after about 45e and 45 west I could take a measurement of the dish ends from the wall and shorten the position of the pole on the standoff brackets say maybe to 6” or 9” bringing the dish closer to the wall .Hope I’m making sense to you so basically looking to see what’s available in the uk to check out the dish and also make adjustments to the T & K brackets to bring dish as close as possible to the house.
