I will, ive only just bought a sytem, I just wanted to know if I got a mrev if it would clear things like hallmark as i will be giving up a sky subscription, I know it will clear cartoon ntwk (my life would not be worth living if my son looses cartoons)

at the very least you can point your dish at astra for the free digital channels such as cbbc cbebees and an endless list of bbc1

Unfortunatly this is not good enough... I have tried reverse phycology that its for him (yeh rite) and he will have so many more chanells but to no avail, does anyone know if it will clear any disney chanell in english ?

its not Disney that I want stevo its for my son if i am going to cancel the sky subscription at least he will still have cartoon nework & nickelodeon but instead of sky one he will have Disney.
I will probably just surf thru all the channels all nite just seeing whats on and not watching anything, is that what you all find yourself doing?

can they all be updated via a satellite or programmer or do some of them need to be updated only by a fun card 5 or 6?
I have been looking at ebay the price difers from £35 to £60 are these all the same mrev or are the different

if you buy one you need a cas 2 or fun cards and programer it dosent matter what firmware is on it cos you can always update to the latest version so the cheaper the better

U can update your cam using a laptop too! All u need is a PCMCIA slot that must be compatible. UCAS interface is not needed and Then u can save your money. If this method sounds to U tell me and I will tell U how to proceed.

PCMCIA digitman I dont even know what one is is it like a usb port will i have one on my tower pc ?

PMCIA slot. Personal Computer Memory Card International Association. A standard for miniturized laptop expansion cards for modems, storage, and other devices. Often called PC cards. I tried and tried to update my Matrix Reloaded using the PMCIA slot on my Sony Vaio with Win98. Others have been luckier with their laptops.

I have now fitted a PCI to PMCIA adapter for my PC (tower) from Maplins. Currently half price at 7.99GBP. The first 2 adapters were faulty (neither the MR nor my wireless network card would fit in the slot )but the third is okay. I haven't tried to update the MR yet as the software is up to date but I expect it to work.

I have tryed that with diferrent laptops with Win2000 , XP , Win98 . ( but the operating system just won t reconise it )

man if you can tell me how to do that , that would be great ....
please send any driver as well

Have you got a programmer for your CAM? The best one is the CAS2. Information regarding software at _wwwduolabs.com.
