but the best KU lnb will have to take the main spot whatever it is i am willing to do extensive tests to find what suites my setup best.

Yes - i will follow your tests with interest - even when you find one which seems initially good.
it may not be, across all the frequencies. ... it could take some time o_O

must admit i,m a little lost over what is best for me recently, on the 1.8cm .
if i end up fitting a standard l.n.b.f (and its looking that way) it will sit further back in relation to the C band feeds than the C120 + c.m. feed does... so the C band conical feeds may block some of the signal to the k/u l.n.b.f. :(

Interesting Chris that's two bad reports, it looks like 4G is a problem for the newer lnb to be fitted with 4G isolators, I wonder how many of us suffer with it ?, is there anyway to monitor the 4G around us I wonder ?.
Greater immunity against 4G interferences

Hi its just arrived, I will try and find time to play later on today, the neck is very short I prefer longer necks, but I cant knock it until ive tried it :).

if 4G is going to be a problem i can expect a s***storm of RF interference as i have 10 mobile phone masts within 1 kilometer of my house. dont understand how it works as i thought mobile phones run on 900mhz/1800mhz and UHF ch60 to 69 was 780mhz to 860mhz. so whats happening then? are they extending the GSM 900MHZ band right down to 780MHZ then to accomodate 4G.

Hmm, what 4G frequencies are supposed to cause interference in Ku-band, and how?
Smells like a new nonsense sales-booster like HD ready, 3D ready, UHD ready.
I know of WiMax trouble into C-band, but Ku-band???

there are actually 3 4G frequency bands in use currently 800MHZ - 1.6GHZ - 2.6GHZ, i knew about the 1.6 first as this is what EE started on and still maintain as well as using the 800,1.6 and 2.6 the other networks apart from o2 use a combination of the other 3.

So i suppose the question is what band does the LNB so called reject unwanted 4G interference

Well put mine on today and first impression is that it cuts the signal levels down. :-( I have lost quite a few weak transponders. Looks like I will have to put the black ultra back on.

These are indeed the known mobile bands, some of which fall in the 950...2150 MHz satellite IF range.
Interference depending on using well shielded cable, connectors properly fit etc.

Maybe these "4G" LNB's simply have a higher than usual IF output level?
Or a choke/ferrite inside, to suppress mantle currents entering at the LNB output?

I expect Chris1979 soon to open the thingy, in the name of science. ;)

I will scan a few sats on the PC Card first, then swap them over to try it out again.
