Done a bit of tree trimming to the west of me this morning in an attempt to recover this part of my arc..
Started at RASD 45 W ..and stepped westward in blocks of 5 clicks so am approx 55W to 60W ..beyond that I can't be more accurate ..
and of corse flysat is no help this far west ...and nothing but data transponders ...
This is the first grouping I came to ...so want to store the position in the Gbox ..
Possibly 53W ...but I suspect it's further west than that.
I haven't fully restored the stored arc beyond 45W since repairing carls motor ...
So can someone please help me log this in ..?

I'll log this in ...and continue west and hopefully find Telstar at 63W again ..
Then hopefully later I can try for Inmarsat ...
which I found some while ago at about 20W ..till it moved west..
looks like the tree trimming was a success ..

If you have the Cband LNB also on your antenna, can you try around 65°W or 67°W

there is a spike in Vertical but no modulation.

I do have a C1PLL on Carl ...but offset to the West of focus by about 10 degrees ..so unlikely I'd reach 65 ...plus Carl is only a 1.5 ..
So I guess this is where I stop..

I'll switch tp the Hughes now and try for Inmarsat ...

Surely this has to be Inmarsat 5 F2 55W ...
all RHCP as far as the Hughes is concerned ..?
which is odd cos Flysat lists both RHCP -and- LHCP ?

It's time to test 52.5°W WGS 5 in KA range 'C' ;)
21135 is the strongest Transponder

Indeed it is ..but will have to re-mount the Norsat 9000C first ...as the Hughes does up to 20900 ...and that end is considerably muted ..

No luck at all with 52.5°W WGS 5
Continues to be elusive ...but then my Norsat C lnb does lose gain rapidly at the top end ..
Still trying but less hopeful now.
 
Inmarsat 5F2 suspect 20679.webp Ok ..
I think I'm in the right area roughly ...
I scanned using the Norsat C ...and found this rather weak lump in the trace ..
Tried inserting a slip of plastic into the feed but 45 deg clockwise ..little channge
nor 45 degrees couterclock ..
but removing the plastic and rotating the lnb through 90 degrees ...
the peak vanishes ...so although I cant lock it ...
I conclude this is linear ..
Feedsat is there anything at roughly 20680 H or V

No, unfortunately this is not 52.5°W , this is a vertical signal @ 55°W or very very close to 55°W.
I have reported this on the 23rd of August. And I am hapy that you can confirm this one.

It's more a beacon or telemetry in my opinion.

Are the signals from 52.5W linear or circular ?
..and could you post a scan at this frequency so I know what to look out for ..
(looks like you already did ooops)
I might have more chance sub 2100 if there is anything there ?
