Hi friends ..
Can anyone help me find myself ..?
No its not a philosophical new age question ..
I simply don't know where on the arc I am ..
The dish is pointing East of the troublesome tree ..I would guess roughly 64 deg to 55 degrees East ...so somewhere in that area ..
I've found a data transponder (I think) with a low symbol rate below 700 ..and fec 3/4 ...but carrying nothing I can lock to with the F15 ..and no audio or video on board
TBS card to the rescue ...and the centre frequency is 3719 and vertical ..
Can anyone help me ?
I cant find this listed on any known birds at Flysat or Lyngsat ..
and it must be strong ..because at this level of declination ..My dish loses about a third of its visibility due to a wall .

I always think asking "Who Am I" is the place to start. I might be able to help you there.:-Cbigsmil

:)

UBC Uganda possibly on 3721R on 64.2E? (Although the SR is rather high..)

Its certainly a possibility AS...
No plate in atm ..so R could be interpreted as V ..
I'll pop it in and see if the signal improves ..
Thats quite a coup for me ..as I wasn't sure the Alcoa could even reach that far East..

Odd though the SR and FEC don't tally ...but could be out of date I suppose

Still receiving with the Dielectric plate fitted ..and the signal has increased a bit ..so now seeing this as R instead of V
I'm guessing AS is correct ..but the SR and FEC have indeed changed from those listed..

If it is/was the UBC transponder
UBC no longer using it ..as that was TV ...now only data..

I can see a spike on the spectrum at 3719 circular around 62E which gets weaker as I move east. Must be pretty low symbol rate because the spike is so narrow. I'm pretty sure of the position because my circular LNB is 4.8º - 5º over from my Ku LNB and in Ku I am almost spot on 57E.

Good enough for me Huevos ..
Thanks ..
I can now put a marker in the Vbox list ..claiming 62 East...
So ..looks like I was right that I can't push to 64 East afterall..

Pity really thats Winners TVRO vanished ..as that was my original 62 East marker..
Haven't seen it for over 6 months..

Hello VS,

signal is definitively from Intelsat 904 @60°E, check EBS Report from yesterday!
PS: First scan on 3718 R 970 on 1.12.2011.

Best regards
qwer.

I shall have to change my Vbox log ..from 62 to 60 ..but thanks Edgar ...

Looks like the maximum East I can get the Alcoa is about 10 clicks beyond this point ...so 62 East at a push.
