where to plug in sata dvd drive

I am trying to install a dvd drive , i see others are using a usb adaptor from the usb slot behind the display panel , is there anywhere that the sata can be plugged in directly ? or will i just have to buy a adaptor ? thanks for any help...alan

The receiver should've come with a USB adaptor supplied as part of the kit. If it hasn't, have a word with your supplier.

Unfortunately there's only the one eSATA connection on the board, so if you are using it for an HDD drive, you have to use a USB adaptor. Shame they didn't provide an extra one, particularly as it has been designed to have both HDD and DVD drives.

HI Llew , yep i have a hdd using that sata point , i will grab a usb to sata cable off flea bay , cheers mate
