Hi,

I am getting a complete system, but am unsure wether to get a Triax 80cm (78) or a 1m Orbital, will I gain much more going for the 1m over the triax?

Cheers
Bob

I have a 1m Triax, and can get the 7W verticals most of the time, you wouldn't get them on an 80cm. I have an Orbital 1m as well. I get 7W better with the Triax and 26E better with the orbital. There may be some stuff on 1W that you wouldn't get with the 80cm.

Yep, good idea if you are not on too much of a budget, as the cost would go up considerably for a 1.2m Channel master motorised.

i would avoid either of those dishes and buy a 1m gibertini aluminium dish , much better quality and doesn't have the annoying elevation bracket which is present on the triax dishes

Got that one sorted now wod:) Do the nuts up tight, but loose enough so you can still move it a bit, then pop in a self tapper each side.
