I've just bought a DigitAlb card and already have a **y card. I want to dispense with the **y receiver and dish and just have one receiver for both cards. Can somebody tell me which Dreambox can accomodate both cards simultaneously?

Cheers.

The dreambox 500s has only one card reader. You would need a 7000s or later model. For the price it would be worth getting two 500s receivers, put them in two different rooms and let them share the two cards. This would allow you to multi room both cards.

Thanks for the reply Butterbox. I just might buy one 500s and swap the cards when I need to.
I've just been reading the long thread on using your **y card in the 500s. Does this really work OK? and can u still get the standard **y EPM via the 500s?
Cheers

No.

However, you can get an alternative EPG although I don't know if the 500 has enough memory to do so. It definitely works ok on the 7000 series

Thanks. Sounds like I may be better off with a 7000 series DBox then.
Will the 7000 series DBox allow me to put both my DigitAlb card and *** card in simultaneously?

Thanks again. One last one - is it possible to remotely manage a DM7000 receiver via the internet?

If you set up port forwarding on your router- think there is an old thread here somewhere.
