Hi everyone...
I live in Latvia's eastern part, and sometimes I have problems with south beams from 28E...
So, I have 110cm dish (it's on my avatar too), I can't receive 2D on that small dish in Latvia, so I need good LNB for 28E (all transponders, without 2D)... So, which model do you recommend for me? I read, that Inverto LNB's are very good, but there are so many models, that I can't decide...
Right now I have Megasat 0,1dB 40mm single on this dish...

The place, where I will order my new LNB will be ebay.de, because germans are SAT maniacs, and selling LNB's for very good prices too... :)

Inverto & Invacom LNBf or c120 with adjustable feed, depending on dish manufacture.

SNH-031 LNBf signal
QDF-031 c120 quad

Here it is... :)

What I was thinking was if it's at it's limit back or forward you can have a good chance to get more out of you existing LNB (quite a lot more in some cases) with a mod - in your case undoing the LNB holder and pushing it back ...a bit.... (the elevation will go out a bit though!).

Yes, I tried that on summer, and signal strength right now is the biggest, that I can get out of this LNB.

Ah well, good to hear you have done all that, although that means you've got the maximum out of the lnb/dish now so you are in the ‘which lnb’ dilemma... on a dish of that size sometimes it can be a 5 euro lnb too…. after going through about 20 of them....

The Invacom quad has a reputation on 2d on the fringe but it seems to be on bigger dishes and when we looked at it, it seemed to be that the bigger dishes (1.8- 2.4 & up) beam width/ separation might help the Invacom and expose better low level performance in the Invacom quad that's not seen when used on smaller dishes.... the better/ thicker casing could play a role there too (or be the reason).

haven't tried the megasat myself but that 0.1 db number means nothing
mti or smart titanium's are better here's a test that a guy in sweden made

(hope you read swedish)

So, which LNB do you recommend? This one: SNH-031 ?

Does it have 40mm diameter?

wow.. there's a thing... from Hama too... didn't they used to do low end analogue video editing stuff?... they looked great but were never that good..

I don't like the over fancy packaging and over sexy design ..... silk lined box etc.. hmmm .... more like potential lnb BS.. ?

.....hope not ...

aparently the 8 metre dish guy from Brasil did manage and succeded to get DVB signals from astra thanx to one of those LNBs:eek:

hi,
i saw the picture and the first thing i saw was the sku looks off.
if your having problems roughly facing the front of the dish the cable that connects to the lnb looks like it is pointing at 6 on the clock.
it should be at 7 on the clock.
this is important if you don't want the weeker channels to break up.
:)
let me know if that helps
ralph
