Today I was going through my box of LNB's to try and decide which one I should use instead of the GT-SAT on the kitchen dish (Freesat - Triax TD64). I have a choice of 2 (ALPS BSTE8 bullet shaped and a Smart Titanium 2nd edition). So begs the question, if it were you, which LNB? :)

Ive got a couple of cheap cone type lnbs and I find them poor when water collects on the cone. Enough water collects on one of them to knock out a lot of channels on 19E...

Hmm. That's pretty bad AS. So would you say the Smart 2nd edition would be better?

Yup I would go for the proper lnb.

Your mileage may vary - we gat a lot of wet days here, but the cone lnb is fine when its dry.

That sounds good to me! Looks like I will be using the smart titanium 2nd edition. Now, if we could only get some good weather....;)

Yes, I still use the quads on the strong sats, and black ultras on weak sats.

Never tried a Smart but Black Ultras are brilliant and outperformed anything I tried.
