I am looking to change an lnb on my triax 80cm dish from a single output to either dual or quad to facilitate a new twin tuner box I purchased.
Can anyone recommend a good one? I have a Triax multi lnb holder on the dish, also I am in Ireland!

Many thanks:D

Take any which is available in nearby shops. Today is very hard to find bad LNB.

The Inverto Black Ultra is highly regarded for its sensitivity and is very affordable.

EDIT

Is Ireland a temporary location? If not, can I suggest you update your profile from Cornwall.

I use inverto black ultra twin lnb on my setup which works very well.

As you buying it soon go for the quad version so you have 2 spare outputs incase you require more in the future.

Where is the best place to purchase it from?

Try one of the forum sponsors, sat Europa, world of satellite etc I'm sure they will ship to Ireland

There seems to be a Quad and a Quattro version with 15 pounds in the difference, anyone know what the difference is apart from the price?

Quattro lnbs are for distribution systems.

You will require the quad version of the lnb.

Will a Sky quad lnb work?

You can probably make one fit and it'll work after a fashion but the problem is that the feedhorn is designed to "look" at a horizontal oval shaped dish and therefore won't best match a conventional dish.

If you've got one hanging around costing you nothing, give it a go. You may find there's enough signal for what you want but don't go out and buy one.

Basically, yes - but not at peak effectiveness, as there will be a mismatch between the Sly Quad integral Feedhorn and the dish shape.
