Pretty much all do the same job; Technomate VBox 2, Jaeger SuperJack V-Box etc.

Take a look at the site advertisers for sales.

I would definitely recommend to avoid jaeger superjack v-box. I bought one and after 18 months, the remote (without receiving any impact or anything) just stopped working. Now struggling to find a replacement remote, which I will have to pay for. Guarantee only lasted for 12 months, and I bought it in sateuropa, which no longer exists.

Stay away from Jaeger products...

Why are you using your V-Box II remote and not feeding the signal through your receiver, so that the dish moves automatically, when a channel is selected, which is very useful when setting recordings, on different satellites?

The Technomate, Superjack and Moteck boxes all look and work the same.

I have just had one of the Primesat ones off SSS, seems OK so far, but I suspect the innards are a Moteck as the remote is the same.

Exactly. Never used the vbox remote once set up.

I am using pcsats mainly and I didn't find that software very convenient when I gave it a try to handle the dish. I tried altdvb at that time.

Also sometimes I need lots of fine tunning to lock low-signal feeds. So I couldn't find better way to deal with that than the vbox numbers... but absolutely open to other suggestions!

Are you using your receiver or PC Card?
You use Diseqc 1.2, to move the dish, and store it, when connected to the V-Box II, and you should have options to fine tune, and re-store, but I've never used a PC card, only my receivers.

I use pc card. Technically I know how to do it with my PC. But I didn't like it at all when I set it up some years ago. Not too much control. Maybe there is better software for that than my old altdvb, but no idea.
