White Cards in CAMs

I have searched and trawled through these forums but cannot seem to find a definitive recent answer to my question...

The only reason that I use a CAM (in my case the older Diablo Light) on my setup is so that I can use my Sky card (quite bona-fide; my Sky sub is current) in my Humax Foxsat HDR Freesat box to watch Channel 4 HD and also the channels that I have a sub for (only news/events package). Until recently, I used an expired-sub older Blue card which has worked fine (still does fortunately but only for the free enc stuff) in my Diablo (currently loaded with Underworld189). Now I have a new White Card for my sub but of course it doesn't work. I also have a FreeSatfromSky White card (bought before we got the Humax) and like the other white card, that doesn't work in the Diablo either.

I have seen implications elsewhere on other forums that the new Diablo2 now enables white cards to work but nothing definitive. My question is basically this: is the Diablo Light physically/electronically capable of being able to clear the relevant channels using the new white cards or not? If not, does this mean that if I want to continue to view my paid for content in this way (NOT on a Sky digibox), then I will have to bite the bullet and by one of the new Diablo2 CAMs? Is anything really settled with the White cards yet? (I keep seeing conflicting information...) Ok, that was 3 questions... :) (PMs appreciated if you feel it necessary)
