Hi folks,
I have recently sold a pace 2600c1 box with an activated white card. The card worked perfectly well in both of my pace boxes. The guy i have sold it too who is in costa blanca spain says that when he puts the card in the box he gets a warning saying incorrect card for box. Now the card has not been used for some months and the software is 3.7.6 should this be a problem. The guy in question is using an 80cm dish and says that his neighbours are all getting five and fiver on theirs which is what he wants to do. The guy is understandably a little miffed so please does anyone have any ideas. Many thanks... Nosmo

Well for starters if it hasnt been used for several months the card will have missed its "stay alive" signals and deactivated itself..

Tell the buyer to leave the card in the box for a few days - it may spring back to life.

Re-awakening can take up to 72 hours, but is often much less than that.

Also, not all permissions become active in one fell swoop - they tend to dribble in.

It should be OK after a few days as others have pointed out.

However, one thing to be careful of - if you take it out of one box and immediately put it in another one, that sometimes that can deactivate the card with a message saying the card was not paired to the box (even though it was). It happened to be about a month ago and I had to leave it in the paired box for almost a week before I sorted itself out. Not sure if it's some kind of new protection system in the card but I've read about the cards shutting down if they get certain codes sent to them in the wrong order or something, which I figured maybe could happen if you switched boxes quickly??
