who has the highest mileage car on the forum?

hey peeps so im about 124k on my vw golf mk5 which is nothing for a diesel,
so im wondering whats your mileage and who has the highest mileage?

The current (2004) Merc is barely run in at 140k. Some years ago, I had a Pug 406 V6 petrol which had 250k when I got rid.

Not all done by me ..... it was at almost 200,000 miles when i got the car about 8 years ago

I don't understand the attitude in the UK about mileage, people judge a car by how many miles it has done.
I'd rather an older car with 200,000 that has had lots of use and motorway driving than the same age car with 40,000 that some old
granny has gone 5 miles a day to get a newspaper.

In Europe people are not bothered by it and some people actually like having lots of mileage and try and cross 500,000 or 1,000000
In the UK they say that most cars have had mileage "Corrected" before it becomes 3 years old, so you never really know what a lot of cars have done.

My BMW 320d is on 155,000, I had a brand new 320d from 2009 to 2011 and I put nearly 100,000 in just over 2 years.

6 months ago i scrapped my passat 1.9td that i had owned since 1992 it had done 250 000 miles, if it had been taxed and legal i could of driven to the scrap yard.

They go on forever too, VW dropped the PD technology as it was too expensive.
