Why are twin tuner satellite receivers so expensive?

Technomate TM5402 HD receiver costs £140

Technomate TM6902 receiver costs about £220

Technomate TM7102 costs between £400 and £500.

Why is it cheaper to buy two receivers than one twin tuner model?
 
Why is it always pouring down with rain here in Ireland?

well the manhfacturers i guess tend to make the twin tuner boxes more high end than offer a basic twin tuner receiver.

As with twin tuner models you have hard disc recording, media players, card slots etc which all put the price up.

you've not seen the price of the vu+ ultimo then over 500 notes.
