Why is my recordings crappy?

My Satellite Setup
DB 500-s - 24" iMac - 2.16 Ghz Core 2 - 3 GB ram
My Location
Danmark
I've now used about 5 weeks trying to work out how to record from my DB-500-s - but I'm stuck with a crappy quality...?

I've tried recording from the webinterface, iDreamX (MAC), MPEG Streamclip (MAC+PC), and tried timer recording via the webinterface, nothing seems to work.

Have read a lot of guides and tut to see if I could sort out the problem that way, but nothing helps.

My next step would be to put another Image on (using gemeni 4.6 now), to see if that helps...

Is there anything else I can try - before considering buying a DM-600 :-)
 
Yes - Have tried Ngrab... Think I got i to work, but it did not have a timer function (as far as I can remember). And I wanted something to work on the MAC...

Have tried once more to record from the webinterface, this time from a pc - and that worked perfect! So it might be something in my setup on the MAC or the Apple Extreme Airport.

So now I'm trying to put another router on the network, to see if it's the router or the MAC that causes the recording problem...
