Why no decent Spanish TDT DVRs?

My Satellite Setup
Cheap piece of junk Spanish (Tecatel) 120cm(x110) dish, Inverto Ultra twin LNB and Sky HD box.
My Location
Valencia (city)
I'm looking to buy a decent quality DVR or DVR capable box (i.e. plug in a USB hard disk) for use with Spanish TDT, but frankly everything I have seen is mostly a piece of worthless junk. No decent brands, such as Humax, seem available. Why is this, are the specs of TDT different in some way to the rest of Europe?

Any suggestions much appreciated. I obviously want full EPG access - could this be where the TDT compatibility problem lies?

Is it the TDT sat box or the terrestrial one you are after?

If it's the sat box I'm almost 99% sure you have to jump through hoops to prove you can't get the terrestrial service, then you could only buy from TDT (or their subcontractors I think it was)
 
Yes, terrestrial. Unfortunately Canal+ Spain doesn't offer a FTV service like their French equivalent.
 
an idea,if you buy a TV in France,just any tv,it's got a "tdt" tuner in it,and spanish tdt is the same as French "tnt" ,i think TVs you buy in Spain also have a "tdt" tuner,like ours have in France,which explains the junkiness of "adaptors",thereby having become "bygones"like LW/MW transistor radios
 
Thanks, but need to be able to record (and already have a good enough TV)
