Why won't my Nova work?

Let me just say, I'm no techy. I don't really understand all the abbreviations, frquencies etc. etc.

All I know is that my Protek 9750HD is no longer providing a signal and I can't fathom out why. Usually I just reboot and off we go, but no luck.

I know a couple of others that have Nova and theirs isn't working either. I've spanked Google silly but can't find any info, either that or I'm just not asking the right questions.

If anyone can offer any advice I'd be eternally grateful

When you say its not giving a signal do you mean its not giving any signal strength at all, or its just not decoding the scrambled stuff?


You need to narrow things down a bit if its not giving any signal at all - amongst many other things it could be



dish misalignment

damaged cabling

rain water in the cabling

failed lnb (the bit on the end of the dish)

failed receiver.
