Will Master Dreambox still provide codes to slave Boxes if not connected to Dish?

Hi,

Strange question, but as I am having problems sorting out my Dreamboxes, rather than keep plugging in and unplugging my main system I bought a new tv and am in the process of setting up a testing station (been meaning to do this for ages for normal boxes).

There is only one dish feed there (yes I could put another in but am feeling lazy at mo), so I just want to know if I put my card in one box (no dish feed), and I finally crack this LAN would the other box (connected to the dish) show the encrypted channels?

Yes ,what you propose will work correctly,the server does not need a satellite feed to operate .
I used to use an old 500T with a blown tuner as a server ,worked well.

However if you want to update the cards entitlements it will need a live satellite feed ,but that is usually only once every 6 weeks for Sly Uk.
