ive got an old analogue lnb and ive been told it will work fine with a digital receiver, but yesterday a guy in a shop told it it wouldnt. whos right? is he trying to sell me stuff i dont need. the old lnb is by cambridge

If its a Cambridge universal LNB then yes it will work for digital reception doggy, it may not be as stable and will have a higher noise figure than a more modern one, but will nonetheless produce results.

If it is not universal then it wont suffice.
