Hello,
I bought a Wistron sky octo lnb (model: F88-BS2) and it has a new type of connector (see picture) and I have an old style sky mini dish.

How could I connect it to the sky mini dish? Do I need to buy a new style sky mini dish?

Thanks,

There is an adapter coming soon, haven't seen one yet though. Did the people who sold it not explain?

It should have come with bits to fit the old stye and the new style, the one I just bought did.

The LNB hold comes in two parts, the top part that goes round the neck of the LNB is common to both fitments, there should have been two bottom parts supplied, one that looks like your photo, and the other that fits an older mini dish.

It only came with the new style adaptor. I have ordered TRIAX 40mm LNB Holder for Sky Minidish, will that work with this lnb?

Not very well, I don't think, I tried one of those on a WNC Sky quad I picked up, that had the bracket missing. Performance was very poor.

If that the case then I might as well get a new style mini dish.
Many thanks for replying.

By the way, I just tried the little bracket from the Thomson quad that I just took off and one of those would do the job, the LNB neck would need to be packed out a little, but other than that would work very well.

A little less analogue, and a lot more crap.

I found the Wistron bracket to flap about on the end of the dish unless the cables are strapped really close to the LNB on the boom arm.

It was more than just play in the adapter.
