I have now created the first offset feed for the X-Band Converter. The feed ring is movable and the calculation of the angle and length were carried out taking Lambda 1/2 and the Parabola 6.2 program into account.
The dielectric still needs to be adjusted and the front is closed with a 0.5mm Teflon plate.

What can I say. I'm just excited. The feed brings exactly 2 dB more gain on the 1.0m antenna. I tried to find the maximum with the same dielectric and without feed. I didn't get more than 9.4 dB. Calculating the angle with the Parabola 6.2 program works very well.
I will change the shape of the dielectric and check whether more is possible.

Best regards dreamsat

I got a few brand new Elite Antennas X-Band feeds including waveguides and interfaces, huge wad naturally.

Basically, they are the same as the Precision Ku-Band feed assemblies but with larger diameter waveguide and one extra interface plate.
Machined aluminium with a coating for the finish.

The feed is ready. The dielectric was glued in and the Teflon disc was set in silicone. Everything is done with 2K paint.
