X-Cam 1.03 update

Ive just repaired a customers receiver, and this was in the slot.

It still gives him the French ABSat channels on 13 East, but not much else.

I can access the individual standards and provider lines, but there are very few that would clear.

Has anyone successfully updated a 1.03 X-Cam to a later version (Orion ?), and could I use a serial programmer card from a Magic Module (DreamMedia) to do it ?

I've kept mine up to date from 1.04 to 149 using serial programmer card TWP 1.0 with jumpers on -J1 = 2-3 and J2 = 2-3. Don't know if this can be used on Magic Module or not.

Thanks, but there is something different about X-Cams that have 1.03 (or earlier) to the later ones.

Will carry on searching.

Long time since I loaded one of those, but I think that you can update the operating version.
