X Cam Pcmcia Programming

Hi everybody,
I've just bought an X CAM firmware version 1.080 and have it installed into my toshiba laptop pcmcia working under WINXP.
The CAM seems to be installed properly but when I try to program it using xcpcmci loader software, I receove the following message:

Xcam0 not respond [05419368]

and it doesn't program anything. What can it be wrong, does exist any other software or procedure to upgrade an XCAM via PCMCIA port only?

You cant update the XCam via PCMCIA unless it has been previously patched. You know when it has been patched as it will display "-p" next to its firmware version in the CI menu in your receiver.

Ah yes I seem to remember installing that, had forgotten doing it.
