Official figures will be released later this week, but the Financial Times reports that analysts Wedbush Morgan Securities have released estimates that suggest the Xbox 360 will have finally overtaken the Wii - long the best-selling console on the market.
They estimate that over a million Xboxes will have been sold in November - 1.075million, to be exact - representing a 31% year-on-year rise.
The Wii, meanwhile, will have sold fractionally less, with 975,000 - a 23% drop on this time last year.
The analysts ascribe the change to the popularity of Xbox + Kinect bundles, which have opened out the Xbox - previously most popular amoung hardcore gamers - to a new casual gaming
