Betacrypt is no more, all caids now beginning from 17xx are verimatrix as well. People are still confused by the old Betacrypt encryption used in Sky DE!

I believe I speak very clearly! Let me say it again! There is not a Betacrypt system used anymore! Betatechnik was sold to Verimatrix long ago! All current 17xx caids are Verimatrix, not Betacrypt2!

Verimatrix is the umbrella name for the service, more a brand than an absolute encryption / decryption system (VCAS)


I could have sworn Betacrypt used to be the encryption and Alphacrypt was the hardware, but last time I dabbled in PCMCIA technology was long ago.
