15 months from new it died, popped the lid tonight, cheapo capacitors much?

As I keep saying in PM, beancounters!
Engineers do a great job, but them beancounters come along and cheap out, when you look at a PCB and see legends for capacitors that are not there, because the beancounters said nope don't fit them, those nice 105c caps you want, nah too expensive.

Look at the size of the Ferrite on the incoming mains lead! Wow - surprised the beancounters left that there.
Or it had some serious issues getting certified lol.
 
Update on this, fixed today with replacement Panasonic caps from small business seller on eBay using the digital soldering station from Aldi, just over £23 all in, cheaper than sending/taking it in some where that's for sure.

The problem is they fit rubbish capacitors and then sail them too close to the wind. If there is a 16V cap, they run it at 16V. Glad your problem is sorted!
