You couldn't make it up

My R7000 router developed a fault, after 20 minutes of arguing with netgear support to give me the rma number.

Finally got that, and posted of the router last Thursday first class £5.50.

Netgear returns sent me an email on Monday to tell me that they have sent out my repair, on a next day service.

Tuesday at 16:55 I get a text message telling me I was the next delivery and my driver will be with me in 10 to 15 minutes.

18:00 I check the tracking, to find that my router had gone back to the yard, sent them an email asking what had happened, only to be told that the van had broken down.

Gave them the element of doubt and they promised to deliver the router today.

This morning I got the text telling me my driver would be with me between 14:35 and 15:35, 17:00 I check the tracking and it says it's been delivered and signed for!

So I phoned uk mail to tell them someone has my router and signed for it, but it wasn't me!

They then checked the gps fitted on the van, and when he made the delivery he was 2 roads over.

Well they emailed the manager of the local depot to explain what has happened, and now the tracking says it's back at the delivery depot, hopefully third time lucky.

Ask, then demand the signature. Do not give them a window to get out of the claim of delivery.

No email or text today :-( just checked the tracking and it's supposed to be at the delivery depot.

Either way I still haven't got my router!

No satellite stuff for the moment (aside from a 43cm minidish that was on the house already), Samsung SyncMaster T27B550 Smart TV & Monitor, and a few computers...

Sounds like UKMail have hired the same muppets from Citylink that "lost" my Pioneer PL-720 turntable by delivering it to the wrong address (Right number, right streetname, wrong town, wrong postcode) which I knew where it was so told them to go pick it up or else), took them a week to actually go get it, with lies upon lies, the best of which was "Oh it's here with me at the depot, don't worry" and it turned up 2 minutes later after ending the call with a driver (and another missing package of mine!!!), and the depot was in Gateshead, 30 minutes away...

Wasn't long after that when they went bust...

Somewhere in England (possibly?)!
Not for nothing did I call them "UKFail" instead oif UKmail - although the local deliveries here have improved a little bit in the last year or so.

I suppose I should be fair to netgear, as soon as they received my faulty router they sent out a brand new unit.

Supposedly on a next day service.........

Shame it took a week for ukfail.

On the plus side the router is working very well at the moment :D
